Army Day
August 1 Army Day (Army Day) is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, as the annual August 1, established by the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission, to commemorate the founding of the Chinese workers and peasants Red Army festival.
On July 11, 1933, the provisional central government of the Chinese Soviet Republic decided to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army on August 1 according to the proposal of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission on June 30 [6]. June 15, 1949, the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission issued an order to "August 1" two characters as the Chinese People's Liberation Army flag and emblem of the main logo. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the anniversary was renamed the People's Liberation Army Day. [6]
According to the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Status of Servicemen and the Protection of Their Rights and Interests, August 1 is the Founding Day of the People's Liberation Army. People's governments at all levels and units of the armed forces shall organize activities to celebrate and commemorate the day. [9]
On July 31, 2022, the Ministry of National Defence, PRC held a grand reception at the Great Hall of the People to warmly celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army
