Ball Valve Precautions
Ball valve in the closed state, there is still pressure fluid inside the valve body
Before servicing, relieve line pressure and keep ball valve in open position
Disconnect the power supply or air source before maintenance
Disconnect the actuator from the support before maintenance
It is necessary to confirm that pressure has been removed from the upper and lower pipe of ball valve before disassembly and decomposition operation
During decomposition and reassembly, care must be taken to prevent damage to the sealing surface of parts, especially non-metallic parts. Special tools should be used when removing the O-ring
Bolts on flange must be tightened symmetrically, step by step and evenly during assembly
The cleaning agent should be compatible with rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working media (such as gas) in ball valves. When the working medium is gas, gasoline (GB484-89) can be used to clean metal parts. Clean non-metallic parts with pure water or alcohol
The decomposed individual parts can be washed by immersion. Metal parts that remain undecomposed non-metallic parts can be cleaned with a clean and fine silk cloth impregnated with cleaning agent (to avoid fiber shedding and sticking to the parts). When cleaning, remove all grease, dirt, glue, dust and so on that adhere to the wall
Non-metallic parts should be taken out of the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, do not soak for a long time
After cleaning, it is necessary to wait for the volatilization of the cleaning agent of the washed wall surface (the silk cloth that can be wiped without the soaking cleaning agent) for assembly, but it must not be used for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust
New parts should also be cleaned before assembly
Use grease for lubrication. Grease should be compatible with ball valve metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts and working media. When the working medium is gas, it can be used as special grease 221. Apply a thin layer of grease on the surface of the sealing groove, a thin layer of grease on the rubber seal, and a thin layer of grease on the sealing surface and friction surface of the valve stem
During assembly, metal debris, fiber, grease (except for the specified use) dust, other impurities, foreign matter and other pollution, adhesion or stay on the surface of parts or into the inner cavity shall not be allowed
