How Connect PEX Pipe ?

Aluminum plastic pipe can adopt rubber ring interface, adhesive interface, flange connection and other forms. The rubber ring interface is applicable to the connection of D63-D315mm pipes; The bonding interface is only applicable to the connection of pipes with the outer diameter less than 160mm; Flange connection is generally used for the connection of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes and valves made of other materials such as cast iron pipes. HDPE plastic pipe can be connected by hot melt. Polyethylene pipe and metal pipe shall be connected by steel plastic transition joint.

When the rubber ring is connected, the inner diameter of the rubber ring should be 0.85-0.9 times of the outer diameter of the socket end, and the compression ratio of the rubber ring section diameter is generally 40%. Before installation, the rubber ring groove in the socket, the working surface of the socket end and the rubber ring shall be cleaned, and there shall be no soil or other debris.

The rubber ring shall be correctly installed in the rubber ring groove area of the socket joint, and shall not be reversed or twisted. To facilitate installation, the rubber ring can be wetted with water first, but the rubber ring shall not be coated with lubricant for installation, so as to prevent the rubber ring from popping out at the interface.

During hot melt connection, high-density polyethylene plastic connection can be divided into removable connection and non removable connection. The detachable connector includes flange connector, exposed connector and socket flexible connector. The non detachable interfaces include socket type electric melting interface and butt type electric melting interface. The polyethylene pipe wall is smooth, so it is not suitable to use the bonding interface, and it is not allowed to directly thread the pipe wall to make the threaded connection interface.
