Ball valve in the closed state, there is still pressure fluid inside the valve body

Before maintenance: relieve the pipeline pressure and make the valve in the open position; Disconnect the power or air source; Detach actuator from support

It IS NECESSARY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PRESSURE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE upper AND downstream PIPE of the ball valve before DISassembling and DECOMpressing

When disassembling and reassembling, we must be careful to prevent damage to the sealing surface of parts, especially non-metallic parts. When removing O-rings, special tools should be used

The bolts on the flange must be tightened symmetrically, step by step and evenly during assembly

The cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working media (such as gas) in the ball valve. When the working medium is gas, gasoline (GB484-89) can be used to clean metal parts. Non-metallic parts shall be cleaned with pure water or alcohol

Non-metallic parts should be removed from the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, and should not be soaked for a long time

After cleaning, it needs to be volatilized by the cleaning agent on the washing wall (can be wiped by the silk cloth without immersion cleaning agent) for assembly, but it shall not be shelved for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust

New parts should also be cleaned before assembly

During assembly, there should be no metal debris, fiber, grease (except the prescribed use) dust and other impurities, foreign bodies and other pollution, adhesion or stay on the surface of the parts or enter the inner cavity. If there is a slight leakage at the packing place, the valve stem nut must be locked again.

Note: Do not lock too tight, usually another 1/4 turn ~ 1 turn, the leakage will stop.

A), remove

Keep the valve in the half-open position, flush and remove any dangerous substances that may exist inside or outside the body.

Close the ball VALVE, REMOVE the connecting bolts and nuts on both flanges, and remove the VALVE COMPLETELY FROM THE line.

Remove DRIVE IN SEQUENCE - ACTUATOR, CONNECTING BRACKET, LOCK WASHER, STEM NUT, BUTTERFLY SPRING, GNAM, WEAR STRIP, STEM PACKING.

Remove BODY COVER CONNECTION BOLTS AND NUTS, SEPARATE COVER FROM BODY AND REMOVE COVER GASKET.

Verify THAT THE BALL IS IN THE "OFF" POSITION, WHICH ALLOWS EASY REMOVAL FROM THE BODY AND SUBSEQUENT REMOVAL OF THE SEAT.

Push STEM DOWN THROUGH BODY MIDHOLE UNTIL COMPLETE, THEN REMOVE O-RING AND STEM PACKING.

Note: BE careful TO avoid chafing stem surface and body packing box seal.

B) Reassembly

Clean and check the removed parts. It is highly recommended that the spare parts package be used to replace the valve seat, cover washer and other seals.

Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Cross lock flange connection bolts with specified torque.

Lock stem nut with specified torque.

After the actuator is installed, the corresponding input signal drives the spool to rotate by rotating the stem to make the valve to open and close positions.

If POSSIBLE, test the valve for pressure seal and performance according to relevant standards before reloading the pipe.
