What is the difference between pe tube and ppr tube, give you some common sense in life, simple and practical!

Jul 27, 2021

PE pipe and ppr pipe are widely used pipes, and they play a very important role in municipal, civil and other fields. Both pe pipe and ppr pipe are made of plastic, and both have the effects of safety, durability, and anti-corrosion. How to distinguish between the two?

First, the suitable temperature is different

The maximum temperature that the pe tube and ppr tube can withstand is the same, which is 70 degrees. However, in terms of adapting to the lowest temperature, it is obvious that the pe tube has more advantages. The lowest temperature that the pe tube can withstand is minus 30 degrees, while the lowest temperature that the ppr tube can withstand is only minus 10 degrees. PE pipe is more resistant to cold. For some cold areas, the water temperature inside the water pipe is very low in winter. It is recommended to use PE more, which is not easy to be frozen.

Secondly, in terms of flexibility

It is still the pe pipe that has better performance, for example, it is easy to bend, has a wide adaptability, and can be flexibly used in a variety of environments, but if some places need to fix the pipe, it is recommended to use PPR.

Final heat dissipation

The heat dissipation performance of the pe pipe and the ppr pipe is the same. For example, the water pipes used in floor heating should naturally use these two types of water pipes with fast heat dissipation speed as much as possible, which is conducive to the rapid heating of the room.
